Native American Seed Saving

Kaij Ki or “seed house” is a space where people can find traditional O’odham seeds, informational handouts about O’odham seeds and be able to purchase O’odham crops. Our space is used to host varieties of workshops like soil preparations, making seedlings, seeds saving and so much more for the people to learn. We also offer technical assistance for beginners who are just starting to grow and wanting to learn. This is also offered to our advanced growers who want to grow for their family or community. Kaij Ki supports seeds sovereignty for the people, since Kaij or Seeds should be available to everyone. This is why Ajo CSA grows out its own seeds and runs a seed bank, so the people have access to climate traditional O’odham seeds.
